I bought this modem/router because my ISP is Centurylink and another reviewer had good luck using this device with Centurylink. I couldn’t get it to work so I sent it back to Amazon.
The owner’s manual and/or installation instructions are ridiculously brief and give you absolutely no help if things don’t work perfectly. There’s a CD included (PC only but I was able to access the PDF files on my Mac). The only thing that I could find on the CD is a PDF file of the manual.
The manual tells you to wait until the various LED lights are lit before you proceed but don’t tell you what to do if one or more of the lights are blinking and, even more maddeningly, the lights sometimes are blue, sometimes are amber, and sometimes are green. Absolutely no explanation as to what the various colors mean – if anything. There’s no phone number in the manual to reach tech support, only a suggestion that you visit their website. I couldn’t visit the web site ’cause I couldn’t get the device to work so I sent it back.

I am on Centurylink formerly Embarq in TX. This unit is fully compatible with Centurylink internet. Make sure you print a copy of your current modem settings from the Centurylink modem that they provide for free. Once you have those settings, it is very easy to set up this Trendnet modem. The reason I got this modem is because I couldn’t get the Centurylink modem be compatible with my PS3. The Centurylink modem constantly switches from NAT2 and back to stricter NAT3 settings. I couldn’t play online with others on NAT3 on my PS3. I was fed up with it and so I tried this Trendnet. I would highly recommend it for those who also experience the same issues like I had. This Trendnet modem was easy to setup maybe 5 mins to configure and then when I test it on my PS3; it was automatically detecting NAT2 configuration. Since then I have been able to play online with my PS3. Great product and signal strengths is great. I can’t speak to the longevity of this unit because I only have had it for about 3 months but so far I have had no issues with it. If anything bad happens, I will update this post. Thanks.

It is not on compatible list with AT&T service. and AT&T tech support refused to give info about setting it up for AT&T DSL service.
Anyway, this modem work perfectly with AT&T DSL with these settings:
DSL Multiplexing mode = LLC Based
VPI = 0
VCI = 35
DSL Modulation = G.dmt
DSL Multiplexing Method = LLC-BASED
